We keep the extinguishers and the fire systems on your mining equipment ready to go.

What it is

We work on both surface and underground equipment. Up top, that’s haul trucks, loaders, dozers, and graders. Underground, it’s continuous miners, scoops, and shuttle cars.

A piece of mining equipment packs a lot of heat, fuel, and hydraulic oil into a tight space. A vehicle suppression system puts agent on the engine and hydraulics as soon as a fire starts, so the operator can get off and the fire gets knocked down before it spreads. The extinguishers in the cab and around the shop cover everything else.

How the job goes

1. You call or send the form, and we set up the visit.
2. We come to the yard, the shop, or out on the job, above ground or below. A tech checks every extinguisher that’s due and inspects the suppression system on each machine.
3. We recharge and hydro-test whatever is due. Our trucks carry loaners. If an extinguisher has to come back to the shop, a loaner goes up in its place until yours is back.
4. We leave a report written to match what MSHA looks for, and what Avetta asks for when your site uses it.

Where we work it from

Our techs come out of Paducah, Madisonville, and Princeton, Indiana. Madisonville is our coalfield shop, and a lot of the Princeton work is at plants and mines too.
