When a pre-engineered system won’t fit, we design one that does.
Most suppression systems come as a package. That covers a kitchen hood, a paint booth, or a piece of equipment. The maker has already worked out the pipe, the nozzles, and the agent. You pick the size that fits, and it goes in.
Some hazards don’t fit a package. The room’s too big or an odd shape, the process is unusual, or there’s more than one hazard in the same space. That’s when the system has to be engineered, designed from the ground up for that building and that fire.
How it’s different
A pre-engineered system comes with limits the maker already set: how much pipe, how many nozzles, and how big an area it can cover.
An engineered system starts with the hazard. We figure out what would burn, how big the space is, and how a fire would move through it. Then we size the agent, the pipe, and the nozzles to fit. We match the system to the hazard.
How the job goes
- We walk the hazard. We look at the space, the process, and what’s already protecting it.
- We design the system for that hazard.
- We install it and test it before we hand it over.
- We tie it into your fire alarm panel, so a release sets off the building alarm.
After it’s in
It goes on the same calendar as your extinguishers and alarms. We inspect and service it, test it, and leave a report. We keep the due dates. You don’t have to think about them.
If something changes, call us before it goes live. That means a new machine, a moved wall, or a different process. A system designed for the old setup may not cover the new one.
Who it’s for
Plants, special rooms, and sites where a pre-engineered package is the wrong fit.
If it goes down
If the system releases or goes out of service, that hazard isn’t protected. Call. Our 24-hour service covers custom systems when they’re out.

- How do I know if I need engineered or pre-engineered?
- You don’t have to figure that out. We walk the hazard and tell you which one fits. If a package will do the job, we’ll say so.
- Can you take over an engineered system somebody else put in?
- Yes. We’ll walk it, tell you what shape it’s in, and put it on your calendar.
- What agent does it use?
- It depends on the hazard. It could be dry chemical, wet chemical, clean agent, or CO2. We pick what fits the fire.
