Fire Extinguisher & Fire Protection Service in Vincennes, IN

Served from our Princeton shop

First-Line technician checking the valve on two red fire extinguishers in the shop

We work Vincennes and Washington out of our Princeton, Indiana shop on South Hall Street.

Vincennes is the county seat of Knox County. It sits on the Wabash River with Illinois across the water, and US 41 and US 50 both run through town. We work Vincennes out of our Princeton shop, and we're full service here. Whatever a business needs, we can do it, from extinguishers and the inspections, recharges, and hydro tests that go with them to kitchen hood systems, fire alarms, security systems, cameras, and access control. Here's what we do and how we take care of it.

Our techs are ICC certified and factory trained, and they come in a company truck and in uniform. We're licensed and fully insured. Your doors stay open while we inspect. We leave a report.

A commercial cook line needs a hood system over it, and that goes for the restaurants in town and for the kitchen at a child care center. We service hood systems every six months, and we can work while the kitchen is cooking. The ABC extinguishers around a building work on grease, but a commercial cook line also gets a Class K, and we look after that one too.

For everybody else, from the trucking outfit to the auto shop and the ag supply business, it starts with the extinguishers. Every one gets its yearly inspection, and when one needs a recharge or a hydro test, we take care of that too. A shop floor with fuel and grease doesn't need the same thing as an office, so we match the extinguisher to the hazard. At a child care center we also test the exit signs and emergency lights, because every one of them has to come on when the power goes out.

We do more than extinguishers, too. At a hotel in Vincennes we take care of the fire alarm. We inspect, test, service, and repair fire alarm systems, and we put in new ones. We also put in security systems and cameras. A hotel might want cameras on the lobby and the parking lot, a trucking yard on the gate, and a restaurant on the register and the back door. We can set up monitoring on your security system and your fire alarm, so somebody is watching when the building's empty. Monitoring doesn't cover the cameras. It's one company and one number for all of it.

Wherever you are, we recharge on site when we can. Our trucks carry loaners. If an extinguisher has to come back to the shop, a loaner goes up in its place until yours is back. Employees get extinguisher training when they start and every year after that, and we can do that training for you. If something gets discharged or a system goes off, our 24-hour service is there day or night.

Washington, IN

Washington sits east of Vincennes on US 50 in Daviess County, and I-69 runs right past town. We work it out of the same Princeton shop, and everything we do in Vincennes, we do in Washington too. That means extinguishers and exit lights, with the yearly inspections, recharges, and hydro tests that go with them, and when one is past saving, we get you a new one. It also means hood systems, fire alarms, security systems and cameras, access control, and monitoring. A truck and trailer shop has fuel and grease around, and an office has electrical rooms, so we match the extinguisher to the hazard there too.

A phone company office full of switching equipment can't take water or powder. In rooms like that, the extinguisher should be a clean agent like Cleanguard+. It won't damage the equipment, and the bigger sizes carry an A rating, so they also cover the paper, wood, and plastic in the room. By the electrical panels, CO2 is a good fit. It isn't the pick for the equipment racks, though, because the cold discharge can thermal-shock sensitive electronics.

02

We come to you

A tech walks the building and finds every extinguisher, light, and system that's due.

Compliance

Portable extinguishers follow NFPA 10, the national standard for extinguishers. We also work to OSHA and to what your local fire marshal wants to see, and the report stays with the site.

Indiana's fire code says the people who service extinguishers have to be trained on the equipment and able to show it when the fire official asks, and ours can.
